With perhaps as little as twenty-four hours remaining before Elon Musk completes his $44 billion takeover of the entire Twitter platform, he is providing a look at how free speech and open discourse can be used positively – as well as expose corrupt D.C. insiders.
Sharing an exchange with South Carolina’s forever RINO Lindsey Graham, Musk called out the Senator in a pointed way after being slapped on the wrist for not “understanding the facts” on geopolitical issues. Did Graham explain those facts to him? Of course, Graham hid behind some vague notion of “I’m right” and “You’re wrong” without elucidating anyone whatsoever.
Graham said: “With all due respect to Elon Musk – and I do respect him – I would suggest he needs to understand the facts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.”
After Graham publicly sparred with the soon-to-be CEO of the social media behemoth, it opened the door for Musk to step in and state his position plainly and firmly.
“Assuming you believe that the will of the people matters, we should, in any given conflict region, support the will of those who live there.
Most of Ukraine unequivocally wants to be part of Ukraine, but some eastern portions have Russian majorities and prefer Russia.”

Say what you will about Musk, his position since bidding on Twitter has been unequivocally aligned toward freedom. There are some that suggest he is a grifter of the WEF and whatever other consortiums are plotting a Great Reset, but a constant voice for rights, freedoms, and individual sovereignty would seem a bizarre way to lean on his outside influence and charisma.
Musk purchased Twitter because he viewed the platform as the public square of the 21st century. Freedom of speech is central to a functioning democratic society, at least in theory if one supposes the best ideas rise to the top free of other constraints or limitations, and Musk wanted to ostensibly enable the prosperous exchange of unhampered dialogue. Here on his position of a plebiscite in beleaguered quarters, he stands by the idea that the will of the people should, in part, decide their fate.
For all we know, Musk is entirely wrong and Graham is speaking in vagaries to protect some other considerations. I’ll remain open to all possibilities. At the very least, it’s worth celebrating anytime someone pushes back against the entrenched RINO establishment. For far too long, these spineless sellout squishes have aligned with leftists rather than remain true to their voting base of actual conservatives.
If it takes Elon Musk to do it, so be it.
