Joining the ranks of Matthew McConaughy, Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg is packing his bags for greener and saner pastures. Wahlberg, who credits his Catholic faith for “all of his success,” no doubt joins the rest of us in wondering how anyone can manage to live in Gavin Newsom’s hellscape.
It’s not so much a surprise anyone leaves but rather how anyone stays amidst rousing crime, hoemlessness, taxation, and eco-communist policies.
Wahlberg announced in a YouTube vlog that would be crossing state lines and calling Nevada his new home in an effort to give his kids a better life and have an opportunity to do news.
“That is the biggest challenge, every free moment that I have, I’m at home,” the actor said. “I moved to Nevada where after this gubernatorial election, hopefully it will go to legislation and get a bill passed so we can get a tax credit for the state and build a state-of-the-art studio here and make this Hollywood 2.0.
“I want to be able to work from home,” he continued. “I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there. So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.”
“To go and to hopefully build a studio as well as a shoe factory and a factory for Municipal. So, we came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lot of opportunity here.”
“I’m really excited about the future,” he finished.

It was previously reported that Wahlberg listed his ritzy L.A. home, located in the Beverly Park neighborhood, for a cool $87.5 million last April. Yahoo! noted that he paid just over $8 million for the property before building a behemoth 12 bedroom, 20 bathroom house on the six acre lot.

This year, Wahlberg co-starred in the film Father Stu, which enabled him to publicly share his strong faith for one of the first times. Around the same time as the release, he partnered with Hallow, the world’s most downloaded app focusing on the Catholic faith. Fox Business wrote last April:
Hallow, the most downloaded and used Catholic app in the world, has released a new series of resources in conjunction with the actor’s newest film, “Father Stu,” which hits theaters Wednesday. Wahlberg put his own money into producing the movie that is based on the true story of Fr. Stuart Long, a boxer-turned-priest. co-starring Mel Gibson.
Although Wahlberg is a devout Catholic and has not shied away from sharing his faith, “Father Stu” is his first religious project. So when the founders of Hallow – who are big fans of Wahlberg – heard about it, they reached out to him to find out how they could help folks discover the movie while more broadly helping people build a habit of daily prayer.
