POTD: M4 Range Day in South Korea – Survival Magazine & News

Every day, all year round, we at TFB publish at least one photo together with an explanation about what’s going on. We’ve been doing this for a very long time, almost 10 years. We call it Photo Of The Day and today we visit Camp Yongsan-Casey, the United States Army Garrison in South Korea.

Soldiers and Katusa’s conduct an M4 range on Camp Yongsan-Casey, September 9th 2022.The M4 carbine is a 5.56×45mm NATO, gas-operated, magazine-fed, carbine developed in the United States during the 1980s. It is a shortened version of the M16A2 assault rifle.

Katusa is short for Korean Augmentation To the United States Army, which is a branch of the Republic of Korean Army that consists of Korean drafted personnel who are augmented to the Eighth United States Army (EUSA).
