TBAC Announces New Fly 45 Modular Suppressor – Survival Magazine & News


For most of its history, the Thunder Beast Arms Corporation has primarily made suppressors for the precision rifle sector, but it seems lately that they’re branching out a bit. TFB recently shared the news of TBAC’s 9mm can, the Fly 9. This titanium-constructed silencer features a modular design that allows either a seven-inch long configuration or a short 4.4-inch conversion. Now they’ve announced a second Fly model, the Fly 45. This new can will also feature the same titanium construction and modularity as the Fly 9, with both eight-inch and 5.5-inch configuration options. ANNOUNCING THE FLY 45

Following in the same line as the FLY 9, the FLY 45 has industry leading .45 ACP suppression performance while being 25 to 50-percent lighter than its competitors. It’s also super tough and is rated for .45-70, .308 WIN, and .223/556 (see full specs for barrel length limits).

The FLY 45 is a modular suppressor with a full length (including booster) of 8.85 inches and a short configuration (with booster) of 6.6 inches. With booster included, it weighs just 8.15 in the short (with booster), and 10.47 ounces in the long (with booster). With the just the bare HUB rear end, it weighs only 5 ounces in the short configuration.
